KOLKATA: Two army columns and three medical teams have been sent to support and carry rescue operations at the flyover collapse site, an army spokesperson said today.
The rescue operations may go on through the night, the spokesperson said.
Fourteen people were killed when a portion of a flyover under construction collapsed today, burying several vehicles, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said.
At least 17 others were injured and taken to hospital, the chief minister said.
