CM Siddaramaiah clears procjects worth Rs 9900 Crore

KRISHNABYREGOWDABengaluru: The State High Level Clearance Committee  (SHLCC) on industry proposals on Wednesday cleared 13 new project proposals with an investment of Rs 9912 crore. This would create employment for over 6,000 people.

After chairing the SHLCC meeting, Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah said 17 projects that sought minor changes like extension of time, rise in investment, change of location, enhancement of capacity were approved. He told reporters that the state government had amended many rules to favour  industries.

The state relaxed Karnataka Land Reforms Act and Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) rules. “Now we will take up yet another industrial friendly reform by simplifying the procedure for departmental clearance.”

The government would soon  implement – e-udyami – a portal developed by KEONICS, where investors can submit application online and track the process. “Online approval of  projects is also being planned in this portal. This apart online investor relation management system will be done,” he said.
