New Delhi: may 11: Amidst rumours that two deputy chief ministers’ post will be created in Karnataka, the Congress on Friday denied there was such a proposal.
“There is no such proposal before the party,” Madhusudan Mistry, Congress general secretary in charge of Karnataka, told Deccan Herald here.
Earlier in the day, rumours were afloat that two deputy chief ministers’ post will be created to accommodate leaders from the Vokkaliga and Lingayat communities.
However, sources clarified that the party would not create such posts to placate any particular leader or community.
