The memorial for matinee idol Rajkumar on the premises of Kanteerava Studio will be inaugurated in November. This decision was taken at a meeting of Dr. Rajkumar Pratisthana, headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday.
The memorial, according to sources, has been developed at a cost of Rs. 5 crore. The date of the inauguration is yet to be fixed as the government wants to invite stalwarts of Indian cinema for the programme. Parvathamma Rajkumar, actor Shivarajkumar and writer Baragur Ramachandrappa attended the meeting. The bust of Dr. Rajkumar, a mini-water body, and panels of Rajkumar films are the major attractions at the memorial.
