Bantwal,September 11: A state of tension prevails in Sajipanadu village of the taluk, since the villagers of the Jamat have protested against the visit of the duo-Thangal’s to the newly built Masjid there. It is gathered that, as a reason of the duo-Thangal’s visit, the raged groups of youths have damaged three vehicles and a youth has been wounded due to stone pelting.

The injured youth has been admitted to a hospital at Mangalore. The Kurat Thangal and Aadur Thangal had arrived here to conduct Deeni classes in Bhadriya Masjid organized by Sajeepa Ustad Memorial Trust. The members of Sajipanadu Jamath assembled in front of the Rural Police station, opposed against their arrival complaining that the Thangal’s visit lead to confusions in the locality.

But the Police officials have stated that it is not a definite reason to protest and had insisted them not to object the Thangal’s arrival. It is complained that, as the Aadur Thangal and Kurath Thangal arrived, a raged group had tried pelting stones to their vehicle. Since the youth of both the groups had assembled, the situation turned violent. Upon hearing the news, the Cops had rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

In relation to this incident, the Cops have arrested a youth close to Sajeepanadu and strict vigilance is maintained at the spot.
