Mangalore, August 30: On Friday throughout the District Sri Ganesh festival is celebrated with great excitement. Along with Ganesh temples, pedals were erected on the main streets to situate the deity on the dais including the installation of decorative lights which added a tone of festivity.
The main temples of the district were flocked by the devotees despite of the rain which poured since morning. Even though the cost of fruits and flowers were hiked in the market, regardless of which the people made their mind to celebrate the festival by buying them symbolised their devotion towards the Lord.
