Mangalore, Aug 24: a group of people belonging to a right wing outfit allegedly assaulted three persons claiming to transport cattle illegally near Pumpwell on August 23, Saturday night.
Reportedly, Abdul Sameer, Sadiq and Shoukath Ali Permannur all residents of Chembugudde were transporting 13 cattle in a vehicle bearing Kerala registration number from Uppinangady towards Mangalore.
After getting the information, a group of three chased the vehicle and stopped it forcibly and pulled out the three from the vehicle and beaten up.
The police arrived at the spot and arrested Prakash, Manoj and Shivaraj on the spot.
Abdul Sameer who was seriously injured during the assault has been admitted to a private hospital, while the other two are taking treatment at Wenlock hospital.
Kankanady police also seized the vehicle and the cattle and registered the case.
