Mangalore, Aug 22: A National Bunt women’s Convention titled ‘Shakthi’ will be organized under the aegis of Shri Siddivinayaka Prathistana and Ganeshotsava Samithi at Bunts Hostel premises on August 24, Sunday from 10.30 am.
Speaking at the press meet Convention President Dr Ashajyothi Rai said that convention will discuss various issue pertaining to atrocities against women, strengthening women community, condemning rape incidents and training self-defence mechanism for women, legal awareness, precautionary measures while using social networking media.
Resource persons across the state and country will participate in the convention. Along with women from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasaragod districts many from Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Mysore and Davangere will also participate she added.
