Mangalore,August 07: A horrifying incident occurred at Kudroli on Thursday August 07th ,where a two year old baby boy was bitten by street dogs.
The boy has been identified as Mohammed Imad, son of Umar Imtiaz and Badrunnisa Banu. They are the residents of Kudroli.
Imad was playing outside the gate when the family was having the breakfast. On hearing the child’s scream and the barking of the dogs, the family rushed out. They quickly rescued the child when he was found being mauled by four –five dogs.
The boy was immediately taken to Yenepoya hospital and then shifted to KMC hospital at Attavara. The condition of the boy is critical.
Speaking to the media, the boy’s uncle said that another child in the same area was attacked by the dogs a week ago. On being aware of the incident, the local corporator has not visited the family he added.
Mr Azeez Kudroli; the corporator of the area stated that regarding the incident, he has informed the MCC mayor, the health department, and the animal welfare department as well. Since he was out of station, he was not able to visit the boy’s family and would meet them after his return.
