Mangalore: Dakshina Kannada district was filled only with clouds till Sunday evening with very less rain and no rain at some places. But on Sunday night the rain started pouring heavily in Mangalore and some other places, it is still raining without a halt.
The people of Mangalore have been experiencing very low rain since few days, now that it has started raining heavily, the day-to-day life of people has become a bit uneasy. The heavy amount of rain fall had created a mini flood like situation on the roads of mangalore city. People going to office, schools etc had to walk and take their vehicles in the water filled roads on Monday morning.
The police personnel of Mangalore were of great help to the public, they helped commuters in crossing roads and avoiding water. In some other places drainage problem aroused, lack of proper drainage system lead to the flow of drainage on roads.
Mangalore and its surrounding places, Subhramanya, Sullia, Bantwala, Belthangadi, Udupi, Karkala and Kundapura Taluks have experienced rain.
