Dubai, May 24: Chilli-Villi Mayura Jodi Nruthya Sparde (Dance Compitition), the 12th Annual Programme of Sarjha Karnataka Sanga was organized very colourfully at Dubai Grand Hotel’s Fortune Group Auditorium on May 23, Friday.
Shantaram Achar, President of Sarjha Karnata Sanga welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp with the participation of Praveen Kumar Shetty, Administrator of Fortune Group of Hotels; Harish Sherigar, Administrator of Acme Building Materials; Mark Denis, Ashok Purohit, Sashikant Kanagi and others.
Devadas Kapikad who had been to Dubai was the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
The dance competition was held under four categories, Six participants were involved in 6 to 12 year category, Five participants in 13 to 20 year category, another Five participants in 21 to 35 year category and Three participants in 36 and above category. All the participants gave an excellent performance.
Short listed 3 participants in each category will be performing on June 20 and “Mayura Cup” will be presented to the winners.
Rohini Anant, Dr Insahuda Rehman and Praveen Prabhakar judged the participants and gave their judgment.
The programme was hosted by Rajesh Kuttar and Satish Venkatraman, organizer of the event presented a vote of thanks.
