Mangalore, April 26: Addressing the media reporters in the press meet held at city on April 26, Friday Sushma Swaraj said in her speech that congress party is our main opponents in the ensuing state assembly election.
Due to internal infighting amongst the members, congres party has disintegrated in to pieces and there is competition always for the chief minister’s berth. But in BJP unlike congress, all the differences have been resolved and Jagadish Shettar will continue as chief minister, she opined.
He further said that she has already finished her first leg of election Bangalore tour, Mangalore was her second journey and from here she will go to Coorg,Shivamog,Hubli,Darwad for election campaign and thereafter on April 28,she will hold a meeting with party leaders, she said.
Karnataka chief minister Jagadish Shettar has been delivering good governance ever since he took over as chief minister. Of course in the beginning there were some problems, those incidents made us to felt bad even but now the smoke of the differences has been solved and thereafter BJP has been doing wonderful jobs and hence she assured the party’s victory in the upcoming election. Other parties like KJP, JDS are only like finger counts and chance of coming to power is very bleak, she added.
Due to bad governance of UPA government at centre, prices of all essential commodities have been increased, as a result of this increase people are suffering now.
She further said, in most of the scams, prominent congress leaders were involved, hence it is proven case that congress party is involved in all the scams. In 2G scam JPC report out of 15 people involved only 6 people are from BJP and rest are all are Congress leaders, she alleged.
Therefore people are fed up with congress rule and expressed their happiness over BJP’s pro-people developmental works.
Replying to the question posed by the reporters about the corrupt ministers who have been arrested and put behind bars, she said that she used to visit their houses only for Varamahalaxmi Pooja, not for enjoying their wealth. In this context, whatever the loose talks are coming is beyond truth, she clarified.
Narendra Modi will campaign in Karnataka but opposition parties are engaged in unnecessary propagandas, she said.
