Kasargod, April 27: The Kasargod Town Police have finally succeeded in nabbing three persons including a young woman, in connection with blackmailing an NRI after forcing him to pose in nude with a woman and threatening to upload the photos on social sites and demanding Rs 30 lakh from him.
The arrested are identified as Abdul Rahman alias Annan (32) of Pallikere, Harshad (25) and Naseeda (32) of Trikkaripura.
It is learnt that, NRI man was a resident of Kanhangad, who was befriended by a woman over mobile phone. Suddenly the woman had invited the man to meet her and then took him to a house at an isolated place at Kasargod Chowki, when the two accused forcibly undressed the man and clicked the photos along with the woman and demanded the money from him. When he said of not having such a huge amount, they reduced to Rs 7 lakhs and ultimately robbed the amount of Rs 17000, watch and mobile phone worth Rs 50,000.
The man, who tried to escape from the blackmailers, immediately informed the police arrested the three accused.
The police have launched a manhunt for another young woman who is the prime accused in the case.
Kasargod town police have registered a case and investigating is on.
