Bantwal, Apr 19: Bantwal residents organized a protest at the toll plaza, Brahmara Kootlu on April 19, Saturday against the repeated attack on tollgate staff.
Reportedly, toll gate staff Sathyaraj was attacked by a group youth at around 3 am and has been admitted to a private hospital. A complaint has been filed at the Bantwal police station in this regard.
The protesters said that previously too the same group had attacked another tollgate staff Girish on April 15 and the complaint was filed against Hussainer, Nowry and Siddique at Bantwal Police Station. But no action was taken against them.
Hence they demanded the police to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
Rajashekar Mestri, inspector of Bantwal Police station visited the spot.
