Scheduled Sonia’s visit to city postponed: Poojary

Mangalore, April 22:  Addressing the media reporters in a press meet held at party’s election office, Nanthoor, on April 22, Monday, Poojary said in his speech that scheduled visit of National Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been postponed to April 27, instead of April 25 as announced earlier as she has to attend the Lok Sabha session and answerable to various queries posed by opposition parties.


Poojary in his scathing tirade against the central BJP leaders said that when the state government is already embroiled with neck deep corruption, Scams and scandals, on what moral grounds several BJP stalwarts like LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh are here in the state to solicit vote in Karnataka and targeting Union government ?, he questioned.


Referring to senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj,despite her frequent visit to Janardhan Reddy’s house for Laxmi pooja, how she was unaware of the corrupt practices of Reddy and precious and valuable items lying in his house`?,he added.

Coming back to LK Advani’s case, he said why Advani ridicules now our honorable prime minister, forgetting the fact that the same man who saved the nation’s economy when it was at distress.

Replying to the question posed by media reporters about Netravatis diversion project, Poojary said that he does not want to comment on this issue as even the BJP leaders at the centre are silent.

Ibrahim Kodijal, Ashraf-District Congress Interim President& former Mayor, Balaraj Rai, Suresh Ballal-former MUDA Chairman, Kripa Alva,Kallige Taranath Shetty and others were present in the meet.
