Kasargod, Mar 30: A 19 year old college student, who had attempted suicide breathed her last at a hospital in Mangalore on March 29, Saturday.
The deceased is Shamseena (19), hailing from Uduma Pakyar was a second year degree student.
It is learnt that Shamseena, had attempted suicide after she was charged with theft of a mobile phone by her classmates two weeks ago. Apart from it, someone had even made allegations against her on Facebook.
Being tortured by the charges, Shamseena had attempted suicide by hanging herself at her house on March 19. Immediately she was rushed to a private hospital at Kanhangad and later to a hospital in Mangalore. However she could not be saved.
Bekal police have registered the complaint and are investigating the case.
