Mangalore: PM candidate Narendra Modi is being challenged by Senior congress Leader B. Janardhana Poojari to contest from Dakshina Kannada constituency.
Poojari, the congress candidate from DK Constituency, while speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on March 10, Monday, said let Modi contest from DK rather than opting Varnasi which is the home constituency of senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi.
If Modi contests from here, people of the DK constituency would not approve of him and it would be proved through their votes, said Poojari.
Poojari also mentions about Modi’s wife and questions how a person who has not accepted his marriage can prove a worthy prime minister.
Talking on the Yettinahole project, Poojari assures that he would not allow the implementation of the project at any cost. He said that projects which are against public interest should not be implemented.
