Sullia, Mar 6: A pillion teenage rider lost his life when the bike he was travelling collided into pick-up jeep at Edoli on Subrahmanya-Sullia road on March 5, Wednesday.
The deceased is identified as Vishwas (17), son of Janu Naik of Halkur village. While his friend Kaushik (17), hailing from Volalambe who was riding the bike suffered critical injuries and is admitted to a hospital in Puttur.
The teenager and the bike rider are Second PUC students of Subrahmanya PU College and were returning home after collecting their hall tickets.
It is learnt that the bike was over speeding and hit the jeep taking a curve landing the two riders on the road.
The college declared holiday to respect to the departed student.
