Mangalore, Mar 4: Addressing the press meet held at Press Club on March 4, Tuesday, businessman Harsha Moily said that even though AICC has rejected his nomination for Congress internal election (or primary) to choose the Lok Sabha candidate from Mangalore, he has no complaints in this regard.
He also said that the rejection of his nomination was not the good start to his career in electoral politics, but the party leaders and workers of the constituency have showered lot of love and affection in the course of seven months making it to be a memorable time. He also thanked the party workers and media for their support.
Harsha also appreciated the concept of internal election which is one of the best steps introduced by the Congress party and AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. This concept by the party has shown that it believes in true democracy.
Further the Internal election which has been introduced on an experimental run must include block office-bearers, and booth president and workers, who are the voters for the primaries.
He also said that he was an able candidate under the category of social service, but general secretary had a different opinion and it is respected.
Speaking on Yettinahole project, he said that the chief minister and Dr Veerappa Moily had cleared that the project is a drinking water project and will not affect the people of DK. I have gone through the report and feel that it will be useful to many and not face any shortage of water.
Commenting on rejection of nomination form, he said that rejection of my application is not the end of my political career and further too will work harder for the party, party workers and citizens of this constituency, he informed.
