Bantwal, Mar 3: Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor said that Hinduism preaches unity in diversity that are driven by three principles including culture, spirituality, ancient heritage.
He was speaking at ‘Jagruta Hindu Sangama’ programme organized near Goddess Chandika Parameshwari Temple at B C Road on March 2, Sunday.
He also said that the government has made an effort to take over temples and Maths and trying to destroy the richness of our ancient heritage and culture. Hence the Hindus must take the responsibility of protecting it.
Presiding over the event, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Dr Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka said that the programme like Hindu Sangama is very important to ensure unity, integration, and protection of Hindu society.
Sri Viveka Chaitanyananda Swamiji of Polali Ramakrishna Tapovana flagged off a procession taken out near Kallige Polali arch.
Advocate, Prasad Kumar, delivered introductory address.
Jitendra S Kottary, convener of Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti Bantwal taluk welcomed the gathering. Satish Pallamajalu proposed vote of thanks.
