Udupi; Feb 28: Speaking in the “Dialogue with Parliamentarian’ programme held at journalist’s press club, K.Jayaprakash Hegde, MP said in his address that journalists should be like opposition parties. When the opposition parties do not have understanding, talking with them is very difficult.
He further said that when we talk about our rights, if we think about our duties also, progress is possible. One should know, whose responsibility, what?.The power should be given to the people to debate with representatives. The debate should be like opinion originating among the people. Presence in the parliament, evaluation of the parliamentarian can be done on the basis of his work. He also said that he has discussed with railway safety commissioner about, whether it is possible to come direct train to us?.He explained about the duties of MPs in detail.
On the occasion Karnataka Media Academy’s ‘Mysore Dhigantha Prashashti’ winner Udupi journalist Chetan Padubidri was felicitated and Hamid Padubidri, newly elected member of Beary Sahitya Academy was also honored.
