Mangalore, Feb 28: Monica Sledjeski, political and economic officer at the US Consulate General in Chennai accompanied by consul general Jennifer McIntyre visit city to discuss the various developmental projects in the district.
Speaking to DC A B Ibrahim on the issue of opportunity for improving trade and commerce between the two countries at the conference hall of DC Office on Feb 27, Thursday, Sledjeski said that United States of America had taken many initiatives towards strengthening their bond between India, including simplification of the procedure for processing of visa applications.
She also said that there is good relationship between two countries and provide good opportunities for investment and lauded the effort of city development in tye field of education.
MLA J R Lobo, explained that the twin-districts of DK and Udupi had given birth to several banks and that banking activities had flourished here. He felt that this area has tremendous potential for investments.
