Mangalore : Shri S R Bansal, Chairman & Managing Director of Corporation Bank met Shri Akhilesh Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Tuesday at Luknow and discussed about branch expansion, financial inclusion, cluster financing and lending to agriculture sector and Micro & Small Enterprises. Sri B. K. Srivastav, Executive Director, Sri N. B. Kulasekaran, Circle General Manager, Delhi were also present on the occasion.

Shri Bansal, on his maiden visit to Lucknow after assuming charge as the Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank, interacted with the customers and addressed the Branch Managers and staff members of the Bank in the city, yesterday. He also visited the Kaiserbagh branch.

Interacting with the media Shri Bansal conveyed that our bank is known for its efficient customer service and tech-innovative products and services. He also stated that the Bank is expanding its network in the state of Uttar Pradesh which has immense potential in ‘MSME’, ‘Agriculture’ and ‘Services’ segment.

Corporation Bank has crossed a major milestone by surpassing business of Rs.3 lakh crore and entered the league of Big Banks. As on December 2013, the total business increased on year-on-year basis by 23% to Rs.301,375 crore, whereas deposits increased by 26.68% to Rs.177,845 crore and advances increased by 18.28% to Rs.123,530 crore. The Bank’s network has spread across 7701 functional Units spread across 25 States and 3 Union territories comprising of 1830 Branches, 1945 ATMs & 3926 Branchless Banking Units as at 31.12.2013.

One of the highly technology-driven Banks offering a host of tech-savvy products & services, the Bank has recently won the IBA Banking Technology Award 2012-13 for “Best Use of Mobility Technology in Banking”.
