Mangalore, Feb 22: A group of four allegedly assaulted a youth for being with a minor girl from another community at Suratkal beach on February 21, Friday.
The assaulted youth Nisar (21), was said to have gone to the beach with a minor girl and the gang of four who came to know about it, assaulted him. Later Nisar was admitted to a hospital in Suratkal and shifted to another hospital. Presently he is in the ICU.
Nisar, doing his computer course at Suratkal, is also part time newspaper distributor.
On receiving information, police rushed to the spot shifted Nisar to a nearby hospital. Nisar’s mother and aunt said that they are not aware about the assaulters of Nisar and only he can identify them. She also urged him to investigate the incident.
According to the sources, few days’ back Nisar’s cousin was also attacked by few over some issue.
So far no formal complaint has been registered; the police have taken suo moto action and arrested four persons. Their identities are not yet revealed.
The parents of minor girl are also contemplating filing a complaint against Nisar.
