Mangalore, Feb 17: K. Raghu, President of ICAI inaugurated the new building of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) Bhavan in Padil on February 16, Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that around 10 lakh students are pursuing education of chartered accountancy in 45 branches of the institution spread across the country. Large numbers of CA’s in the country is employed in high positions and play a significant role in the India’s economy.
He also said that the institute will plan to set up ICAI global technology centre, a Cloud Campus, ITT hi-tech labs in the coming days.
He lauded the contribution of TV Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education and a CA who has handed over Rs 1 crore towards the Corporate Benevolent Fund of ICAI.
ICAI Vice President Manoj Fadnis, ICAI Chairman of Mangalore Chapter Jagannath Kamath and others were present.
