Doggy’s day out at Nehru Maidan

Mangalore, Feb 16: The Karavali Canine Club, Mangalore in association with Bangalore Canine Club organized a first ever dog show at Nehru Maidan on February 16, Sunday.

State executive member of BJP Srikar Prabhu inaugurated the dog show. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Mangaloreans got a great opportunity to witness the great show of dogs of different breeds.

Around 253 canines of 36 breeds participated in the event. As many as 70 participants were from the city, the remaining were from Kerala, Maharashtra and other states.

C V Sudarshan, Rajiv Shandilya of New Delhi and Kenneth Chuah of Malaysia were the judges.

Various breeds of dogs as Labrador, spaniel cocker, boxer, Dobermann Pinscher, Miniature Pinscher, pug, Fox Terrier, Bull Dog, Dalmatian, Afghan hound, Dachshund, Irish Setter, golden retriever, Rottweiler, St Bernard, Siberian Huskie, German Sheperd were part of the show.
