Karkala; Feb 02: Participating in the capacity as chief guest in the opening ceremony of Karnataka Rajya Devadigara Sangha, Mangalore’s sub-Sangha’s Hiriyadka Devadiga yuva union, organized on Feb 01, Saturday in Hiriyadka Gandhi Maidan, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge said in his address that any race in the society or community’s comprehensive development and equality, community’s organizations are inevitable, he said. He added that Devadiga community is economically backward class and in today’s competitive world, by giving more emphasis for education, through administrative departments Devadiga community should take partnership, he said
After inaugurating the Devadiga Yuva Sanghatane, K.Jayaprakash Hegde, Udupi-Chickmagalur Loka Sabha MP said in his address that it is very easy to open an organization but it is very difficult to nurture but Devadigara Sangha, Hiriyadka is an old organization. By giving more predominance to education Devadiga community should engage themselves in medical, political and other fields and then only comprehensive development of the Devadiga community is possible, he said.
Gopala Bhandary, former MLA while speaking in his capacity as chief guest said that Yuva Shakti (Youth force) is the resource of the nation. But there are many organizations that engage themselves in spoiling the innocent minds of the youths by spilling venom, hatredness in their minds and leading them to the direction of nowhere. But he lauded the efforts of Devadiga Sangha in blossoming the minds of Youths.

The achievers in education, social, Kalavibhaga, sports and in cultural fields were felicitated on behalf of the Sangha.Besides medical aid was provided to poor suffered patients. Prizes have been distributed to various winners in the sports event organized by the sangha on the occasion.
