Mangalore, Jan 30: A twenty nine year old youth died after he jumped off from the fourth floor of Yenepoya Hospital, Kodialbail on Jan 29,Thursday.
The deceased is identified Lathish Poojary of Madoor in Kotekar was was getting treated in Yenepoya Hospital after he had consumed the liquor laced with poison on January 27, Monday. Later his friends immediately rushed to the Wenlock and later to Yenepoya on the next day. But unfortunately on the same day at 12 pm, Lathish broke the window panes of the ICU and jumped to death after two attempts at 9 pm and 11 pm.
The hospital authorities informed the family members after an hour. The family who reached the hospital accused the Yenepoya authorities of negligence and security who could stop him from jumping.
The Mangalore North Police have registered a case against the duty doctors under IPC section 306 (abetment of suicide).
