Kundapur; Jan 24: In an accident, wherein pick-up rammed on to the pedestrian in the process of overtaking, resulting the death of the pedestrian was reported on NH66 near Ankadakatte Surgeon hospital.
The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Mark Serao, aged 62, a resident of piyush nagar, near Hangalore church.
Pick-up vehicle, which was in the hurry of over-taking advocate’s car coming from Kundapur, rammed on to the handicapped pedestrian Mark Serao, who was waiting to cross the road on the right side of NH 66.Due to the impact of the collision, pedestrian died on the spot.
Mark Serao was working in Venur’s government hospital as clerk in the past and was retired. He has got two sons and three girls.
Divakara P.M, Kundapur circle inspector, Kundapur traffic police station’s sub- inspector Imran and Parameshwarappa visited the place of accident.
A case was registered in Kundapur traffic police station.
