Bantwal, Jan 23: An extra large mushroom growing sparks curiosity among the locality at Vagga of Kavalapadur gram in Bantwal taluk.
Such unusual growth of mushroom was found in the surrounding of a house belonging to Chennappa Kulal.
Generally mushroom, also known as ‘Nayi Kode’ in Kannada or ‘Lambu’ in Tulu, can be found growing in the corners of houses or stems of trees in rainy season, especially in Malnad regions with the cap like structure on top in different colours.
Chennappa Kulal said that this unusual mushroom as grown to a diameter of three feet in ten days and still growing creating curiosity among the locals.
