Supreme Court dismisses the writ petition against Made Made Snana

Mangalore: Amidst the demand to ban the Made Made Snana in historical temple Kukke Subramanya, Supreme Court has dismissed the writ petition filed by Shri Chenna Malla Veerabhadra Swamiji of Nidumamidi Samsthanam and others seeking to put full stop over this practice.

Bhaskar Bendodi, state president, Adivasi Malekudiya Association said that according to court Made Made snana is matter of religious belief of the people, hence, it will never interfere in such issues. Court also responded that a ritual was in practice in the temple from several centuries. Devotees voluntarily practice the ritual with self inspiration and no one is forced to offer, court announced.

But some rationalists and organisation staged many protests and dharnas to ban Made Made Snana in the temple and stepped to Supreme Court urging to put permanent full stop on it.  Even the writ filed in the High Court by Karunakar Ennemajal of Sullia
