Mangalore, Jan 3, 2013: National Book Trust, India (NBT) will hold a week long a mega book fair at Nehru Maidan from January 4 to January 12.
Addressing the media, at the press meet held at Press Club on January 3, Friday, World Konkani Centre founder Basti Vaman Shenoy, said that after the long gap of 13 years, book fair will be organized in city under the ministry of human resource development and department of higher education.
He also said that minister of forest, ecology and environment B Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the book fair at Nehru Maidan on January 4, Saturday at 5 pm.
Shenoy said that 40 publishers and book sellers from all over the country. The book fair will benefit students, teachers, academicians, book lovers and the general public.
NBT regional head Amit Karki, NBT editor (Kannada) H Nagarajappa, were present.
