Kundapur; Dec 30: In an accident, which was reported on Dec 30, Monday, near Chittoor on Kollur national highway, wherein a rickshaw, in a bid to avoid bus coming from the opposite direction, lost the control of the vehicle and somersaulted, resulting the death of one of the five Aiyappa Swami’s religious observers.
Tallur resident, Late Muthayya Acharya and Vagdevi’s son Gururaja Acharya, aged 32 was the unfortunate man, who died in the accident. He was working in furnace.
According to the sources, it was said that after having darshana of Shree Mookambika temple, while they were travelling on national highway, in a bid to avoid bus coming from opposite direction in view of averting accident, lost the control of the vehicle and rickshaw somersaulted.Gururaj, who went under the rickshaw due to the impact of somersault, got injured as the iron rod, which pierced into his head resulting bleeding of the blood profusely and declared dead on the spot.
Sources also said that few days ago, Gururaja, wearing Aiyappa Swami’s wreath went to Kollur Mookambika temple along with other four Aiyappa Swami’s devotees.
He is survived by his 4 months pregnant wife, who got married eight month before.
