Mangalore ,Dec 26:”The incident such as kidnap and blackmail of two students in Deralakatte have made us to bow our head in shame.Underworld element have become active in the coastal belt” said the Ex CM & leader of the opposition in the legislative council D.V.Sadanand Gowda.
He was speaking after inaugurating birthday celebrations of former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on wednesday.
CM AND HOME MINISTER SHOULD HOLD MEETING :
Mr.Gowda said that anti social elements have raised thier head in the coastal area without fear.The security for female children is indeed a matter of concern.If the government fails to protect its citizens,then the latter will be forced to take measures to defend themselves.he asked the home minister and the C.M to hold review meeting to curtail the situation.
8 MONTHS 8MISTAKES :
Gowda said that the 625 crore package announced by the union government for agriculture has not been able to reach them so far.Only 20 crore rupees has been released.He accused the congress government of withdrawing the panel of advocates appointed by the BJP government to defend arecanut growers in the supreme court.
INCLUSION OF YEDDYYURAPPA AND SRIRAMULU IN THE PARTY :
Mr.Gowda further added ” talks are going on for the inclusion of Yeddyyurappa and Sriramulu in the party.Mr.Rajnath Singh has already held talks with both of them.They have shown keen interest to rejoin the party.
