Bantwal, Dec 11: The Bantwal police arrested two persons for collecting toll illegally at the Panemangalore toll gate near Netravathi Bridge on Tuesday December 10.
The arrested are Ravindra and Arafat, residents of Panemangalore Nehru Nagar.
Based on definite information, Bantwal police led by SI Kabbal Raj arrested the two.
Ravindra used to work at the Panemangalore toll gate earlier. It is said that along with his friend Arafat, he printed fake receipts and collected toll from lorry drivers and others from other districts who passed through at night.
The police caught them red-handed on Tuesday.
A case has been registered in Bantwal police station.
