Karkala; Dec 08: Natives and Bajrang Dal activists, who saw a group of 13 Muslims wandering from house to house on Dec 07, Saturday in Peralke in Nalluru village of Karkala taluk, complained to the rural police station, who in turn arrested the group and inquiry has been conducted.
On inquiry it was understood that group members are from Barodali taluk in Surat district of Gujarat state.They also disclosed that they were visiting Muslim families and explaining about Namaz and other traditions of Islam. Currently this Muslim group is staying in Kariyakallu near Karkala and Karkala police traced their address from Barodali police station.
Circle inspector M.G.Naikar has informed that they have been released after directing them to be present whenever they are called for an inquiry.
