Alleging that the Congress has insulted the Indian Constitution by selling their party tickets at a cost of Rs 4 to Rs 5 crores, BJP National Vice President D V Sadanada Gowda demanded a CBI probe into the sale of election tickets by Congress party. Coming down heavily on the Congress party, Gowda said that the Congress party leaders have admitted of paying Rs 4 to Rs 5 crore to KPCC President Parameshwar and leader Siddaramaiah for tickets. “Being immersed in corruption, they have no moral rights to speak about corruption,” Gowda said.

“Angara has been following the footsteps of Narendra Modi and he has fulfilled the responsibilities given to him. Karnataka will come to power in the way how Narendra Modi took over the administration of Gujarath, in spite of heavy false propaganda against him.

Five years of BJP administration in the State could be divided into two chapters. We admit that the first chapter has not been a good one, beacuse of dictatorship, corruption, partiality and denotification of lands.

But, in the second chapter, when I and Jagadish Shetter were the Chief Ministers, we have given administration without flaws. The assurances mentioned in the last election manifesto have been fulfilled completely and we have handled the administration to provide a respectful life to people,” he said.

Stating that the BJP has given a total grant of Rs 3,000 crore in five years after it came to power in the State, Nalin sought to know how much grant the Congress leaders have given to the State in the last 64 years.

Inaugurating the convention, BJP State Vice President Sulochana Bhat said that Karnataka is in second place when it comes to the development of the country. Widow pension has been increased to Rs 500 from Rs 50 in five years. The Government has implemented many programmes for the development of women and women support BJP, she said.

MLC Monappa Bhandari said that the difference of opinions within the party has not affected the progress of the State. For the first time, the BJP Government has formed minority development committee and has given Rs 494 crore to it in five years, he said.
