Mangalore, Dec. 2: Regard with the dacoity and murder case of Bhavani in Shaktinagar Karmika colony last month, the activist of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike staged protest in front of the DC office on Monday Dec. 2.
Addressing the protestors, Yogish Kumar Jeppu, president of Vedike said, “We have organized this protest to urge the department concerned to take the Bhavani murder case seriously and arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
Addition to it he said, “It has been learnt that a few public representatives have been intrusive in the investigation procedure and thus the case is getting delayed. The residents of Shaktinagar and surrounding areas are living in fear ever since this incident. Drug peddlers have also increased in these localities, causing further anxiety among the residents” he added.
“If this case is not solved at the earliest, all the units of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike will join hands and hold a massive district-wide protest in the coming days,” he warned.
M G Hegde, chief spokesperson of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike said, “This case has remained unsolved even after 20 days of the incident. The police have taken many people for questioning, but the actual culprit has not yet been caught wherein the police department seems to be pressurized.”
Jyothika Jain, Razik Ullal, Rakshith Shetty, ex corporator Azeez and many others were present.
