Demanding to release Madani, PDP will stage protest on Dec. 2 at DC office

Mangalore, Nov. 29: “Demanding the release of Abdul Naseer Madani, chairman, PDP who has been lodged in Parappana Agrahara from three and half years in connection with the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Kasaragod District committee will stage a Dharna in front of DC office on December 2,” said S.M. Basheer Ahmed Manjeshwar, State organizing secretary, PDP.

He spoke at the press meet on Friday, November 29.

He further said that Madani is a chronic diabetic patient and dependent on wheelchair for movement. He is also suffering from cardiac problems, disc pro-lapse, cervical spondylosis and has been diagnosed with ‘diabetic retinopathy’ (eye ailment), the State Government should give medical treatment as per the directives of Supreme Court.” Ahmed said.

He also said that V.T.Rajashekar, human right activist will inaugurate the Dharna. And in the protest we will urge that honest investigation should be conducted into the serial blasts and Madani should be forgiving of all false charges against he added.

K.P.Mohammad, vice-presidentm Sadiq Muliyadka, district joint secretary and Haneef Posotu were present among others.
