Mangalore, Nov 15: Karnataka is the only state in India which has seven synthetic tracks, said state Minister for Youth, Sports and Fisheries K Abhayachandra Jain
He was speaking after inaugurating a state level Paika Women’s Sports Meet at Mangala Stadium in Mangalore on November 14 Thursday.
He further said that the government was considering building a synthetic track in every district of the State. As of now, the State has seven synthetic tracks and four more are under construction, he said.
He said a synthetic track at the cost of Rs 4 crore has been created. Only Karnataka has seven synthetic tracks in the country he said.
District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai and several others were present on the occasion.
