Bajpe, Nov. 11: The development of the society is can only through education. To build a secular society we should reach social and economic equality said chief minister Sidaramaiah.
He was speaking at Brahmakalashabhisheka programme at Guru Narayana Mandir at Bajpe on November 11, Monday.
He said that the exploitation of the poor is happening today also. To overcome from this the people should be unit. Only through unity we can strengthen the society he added.
To create our future there is a necessity to study the history. Without history we can’t plan for our future. Brahma Guru Narayana Guru also studied the history and raises the voice against purohita shahi, superstitious and made reform in the society. He also spoke about other social reformers life.
Former central minister Janardhana Poojary inaugurated the Samudaya Bhavan. Then he said that the schemes implemented by Suddaramaiaah like annabhagya, relief of debt of ST and SC’s., loan for farmers in low interest rate are helpful to the changes of the society. But his new scheme Shadi Bhagya should implement to all the poor people of the society not only for minorities he opined.
Kerala Shivagiri Shri Satyananda Theertha Swamiji gave blessings. The chief of Kankanady Garady Chittaranjan Das felicitated Suddaramaiaah.
Youth, sports and fisheries minister Abhaychandra Jain distributed the scholarship. Fisheries minister B. Ramnath Rai distributed the prize.
