Mangalore, Nov. 11: The release of the 14th annual issue of Issues & Concerns was held today at the Conference Hall of SDM PG centre for Management Studies and Research.
And also prize distribution function of the inter collegiate elocution competition was held. The programme was organized by the Editorial Board of Issues & Concerns and SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangalore.
J.Shriyan, editor Issues & Concerns highlighted the journey of Issues and Concerns journal upto its 14th issue. He also spoke about role of media in the society both in positive and negative manner.
Justice M F Saldanha, Former Justice of Karnataka High Court was the chief guest. In his address he said, “A common man knows the reality of life. Number does not matter, quality of human being matters.”
Guest of honour Dr N K Thingalaya, Former CMD of Syndicate Bank appreciated J Shriyans ability to run the magazine single handedly for 14 years and distributed prizes of the competition to the winners.
In the presidential address Padmabhushan Prof B M Hegde, Former Vice Chancellor of Manipal University told that the journal should sustain. He also spoke about the good and bad things in the society.He shared his experience of life.
