Kundapur;Nov 04: In the recently concluded district level ball badminton and tennycoyt tournament jointly organized by pre-degree education department and Saraswati Vidhyalaya pre-degree college at Gangolli, Saraswati Vidhyalaya pre-degree college, by bagging four prizes in different categories emerged as the topper in the tournament.
While the boys team of the college bagged first places both in ball badminton and tennycoyt, girls team won first place in tennycoyt and second place in ball badminton and with this results of the tournament both in boys’ and girls’ team, Saraswati Vidhyalaya pre-degree college declared as toppers in the tournament.
Both boys and girls team have been trained by under the guidance of physical training instructor Nagaraja Shetty.
Presiding over the valedictory function, which held in the evening, K.Saraswati Rao, principal of the Saraswati Vidhyanilaya congratulated the winning team members.
K.Sadashiva Nayak, secretary of the college, local entrepreneur Nagendra Pai, Vasantha Shetty, physical training instructor of Kota Viveka pre-degree college have distributed the prizes to students.Venkateshmurthy compered the programme.
Similarly, in boys and girls team of Barkur national pre-degree college bagged second place in tennycoyt, boys team of Brahmavar SMS pre-degree college and girls team of Viveka pre-degree college, Kota stood first place respectively.
