Mangalore, Oct 31: People from various field of Dakshina Kannada district will receive the Dakshina Kannada district Rajyothsava award under various categories at the 58th Kannada Rajyothsava programme to be held at Nehru Maidan here on Friday Nov. 1st.
The list of persons and organizations selected for the Rajyothsava awards was released by the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada N Prakash here on Thursday Oct. 31.
Senior litterateur Bola Chittaranjan Das Shetty, Journalist P B Harish Rai ‘Shanthi Prakashana’ organisation, and cinema actor Aravind Bolar are among the 20 persons to be honoured with the Kannada Rajyothsava award.
Prakash, who is also the chairman of award selection committee, said that the awardees had not been selected on the basis of any particular criteria he said.
