We will Fight until get justice for Sowjanya: N. Prabha

Belthangady.Oct.31: Now the whole of the state has been seeking justice for Sowjanya of Ujire, who was raped and murdered. We will fight for the case until get justice for Sowjanya said N. Prabha, Akhila Bharatha Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane.

She was speaking after inaugurating the protest meet held in order to demand CBI probe into Sowjanya case.

She further said that the government, police authorities and the district administration has been protecting the culprits. The criminals of the Delhi gang rape got sentence in nine months. But in Sowjnya’s case how much time they need for the investigation she said.

Even if the government does not want to provide justice to Sowjanya, the public will fight for her and her family,” she added.

Mahesh Shetty, president of Prajaprabhutva Vedike, in his presidential address said, by the protection of the government, the culprits are roaming around freely in the society. If proper investigation is held, only the culprit will be arrested not the innocent. Hence the innocent need not fear he added.

A social activist Vishnu Murthy Bhat, said, cases such as Sowjanya’s, the Padmalatha case and all other unnatural death cases in the district must be handed over to CBI.” The cops must arrest the criminals instead of protecting them.”

The president of the organisation Baby Kokkada, Sawjanya’s father Chandappa Gawda, mother Kusumavathi, Kokkada gram panchayat member Lakshmi Narayan and others were present.

Levina welcomed. Rukmayya Madivala proposed vote of thanks. Regarding to the protest meet rally was conducted from Kokkada Bhajana mandir to Kokkada junction. The Kokkada pnachayath also demanded for CBI probe into the case and they submit the memorandum.
