Kundapur; Oct 28: Condemning the activities of the parties to mislead the public and apocryphal statements on Dr.Heggade’s personality and defaming the sanctity of holy Dharmasthala, a public rally was organized in favor of Dr.Veerendra Heggade on Oct 25, Friday afternoon at Kundapur.
Kundapur Jana jagrathi Samiti’s President B.Appanna Hegde said in his address that in order to eradicate the misconception about Dr.Heggade and holy place due to unethical,false,fake and derogatory propaganda, allegations on Dr.Heggade’s individuality and holy place Dharmasthala,this rally was being organized.
Some trouble-creators with vested interest and for their own selfishness, unnecessarily accusing and assailing Dr.Heggade and his family members on the issue of one year old Soujanya’s rape and murder case, which is really condemned.
This is a deep rooted, well organized conspiracy to tarnish the image of Dr.Heggade and Dharmasthala and those who are indulging in false allegations and fake propaganda, will be taught a good lesson by Lord Manjunatheshwara.We will always be there and support the good works, deeds of ‘Kavandha’.Along with him, not only we, whole mass of the nation will be with him, he added.
While speaking Kota Shrinivas Poojary, former Muzrai minister said that it is common practice to demoralize, discredit framing filthy allegation, harrowing conspiracy against any Samaritans in the society.Dr.Veerendra Heggade has already ordered to handover the Soujanya’s rape and murder case to C.C.I within few days of her murder. There is a vast reputation to Dharmasthala in eliminating un-touchablity and in-equalities in the society.
He further added that out of 30 districts in the state,26 districts has got Dharmasthala self-help project and service of this Sanghas are unimaginable and done a very remarkable progress, which would not have been done even by the government.Therefore,condemning or false advertising in the paper is improper and incorrect, he said.
While addressing, Gopal Poojary,Baindoor MLA said in his speech that those who accused in Soujanya’s rape and murder case should be sentenced to death but hurting religious feelings, sentiments is condemnable. Derogatory statements against Dr.Veerendra Heggade should be stopped, he said.
In the meeting trustee of Maranakatte Brahmhalingeshwara temple Seetharama Hegde, retired professor koni Shivananda Karantha, Kollur Shree Mookambika temple’s Dharmadarshi Sukumara Shetty were present.
U.S.Shenoy, editor of Kundaprabha magazine had an introductory talk on the occasion.Subramanya Shetty welcomed the gathering. Earlier to the commencement of the programme, a silent procession was held from Kundapur Shastri circle to Kundapur market area. In the procession and programme around eight thousand people participated.
