Demanding for CBI probe of Soujanya’s Case CPI launches Postcard campaign

Mangalore, Oct 26: The Communist Party of India (CPI) of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district committee launched a postcard campaign for CBI probe into the rape and murder case of Soujanya on October 26th Saturday in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here.

The joint secretary of DK district unit B Shekhar urged the state government to recommend a CBI probe into all cases of rape, murder and unnatural deaths, which had taken place at Ujire from 1986 to 2012.

The post cards collected during the campaign will be posted to the chief minister of Karnataka. This step is taken to awaken the state government and take action in handing over the Soujanya rape and murder case to CBI, he said.

Member of AITUC state unit H V Rao formally launched the postcard campaign by posting a post card at Pandeshwar Head post office.

The committee has decided to collect 2500 post cards and post it to CM. So the public should co operate with us urged V. Seetharam Berinja.
