Mangalore, Oct 25: A 13 year-old student drowned in Mangalore City Corporation swimming pool at Lady Hill on Friday.
The boy has been identified as Sohan, a resident of Boloor in the city.
It is said that Sohan who did not know swimming lost balance while swimming in and sunk in the pool. The swimming pool staff and others swung into action while he was screaming and take him out of the pond immediately.
Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately, but the doctors declared him brought dead.
A case has been registered at Barke police station.
