Karkala; Oct 20: After inaugurating the taluk level ‘Bharat Nirman volunteer’s conference, held on Oct 20, Sunday at Bandimata Rama Sabha Sabhabhavana, Jayaprakash Hegde, MP said in his speech that works of the rural volunteers in reaching the various schemes of lab to land project to the lower of class of people without expecting any benefits in return, is noteworthy and highly appreciable.
Still there are many places where expected development works yet to be undertaken and bringing the backward class people to the main stream of the society through one of the ambitious projects of the government lab to land, is government’s first priority, he said.
Apart from gaining momentum of the development works by Bharat Nirman volunteers, pressure on elected representatives from higher-ups will also be reduced, he added.
Gopal Bhandary, former MLA has said in his chief guest speech that there are more than 500 government’s various projects, which are unaware to the people, today by informing them without any benefits, sincerely, honestly by the volunteers, not only level of life style improves but also nation’s progress also ensured.
V.Sunil Kumar, MLA said in his presidential speech that reaching government’s project like this without receiving any kind of benefits in return and doing just for the sake of self satisfaction, is highly commendable and they should be encouraged,motivated by representatives and concerned authorities,he said.
On this occasion Rajendra Bekal, Udupi district’s women and children’s welfare officer has been felicitated on behalf of Bharat nirman volunteers.
