Udupi; Oct 17: Addressing the people, Pejavara Shree Vishveshatheertha Shreepadha said in his address that hurling allegations and tirade against Dharmasthala, Dr.Veerendra Heggade and his family members in Sowjanya’s rape and murder case is highly deplorable and heart-wrenching.
He further said that we are pressing for the thorough investigation and even Heggade has agreed for this.Dr.Heggade has proved with documental evidences that his nephew was not involved in the Sowjanya’s murder case and he was in abroad at the time of murder took place.Under the circumstance ,allegations, slander and attempt to insult is not worthy, he said.
He also said that Dr.Heggade has been rendering wonderful social services for the up-liftment of humankind, destitutes, poor and weaker section of the society and those have been vouched and appreciated by each and everybody and even at national level. Under the circumstance throwing baseless allegations, defamations against Dr.Heggade, we strongly condemn, he added.
